Eagles Studs and Duds: Preseason Week 1

The Eagles lost their preseason opener to the Steelers 31-14, but everyone came out healthy. We're getting closer to the games that count!

Here are the studs and duds from the Eagles' first game of the 2018 season.

3. Josh Adams

The 21-year-old undrafted running back out of Notre Dame, a native of Warrington Township (Central Bucks South), was impressive on Thursday night. Adams rushed six times for 30 yards and caught his only two targets for 11 yards. At 6'2", 213-pounds, Adams has above average speed (4.56) and is a solid pass catcher. Donnel Pumphrey not dressing and Adams showing out is an interesting development.

2. Fletcher Cox

Midseason form! Cox had a sack and a tackle for a loss in minimum snaps. He's going for defensive player of the year and I'm not going to stop him.

And he made a "Long Cox" joke.

1. Dallas Goedert

6'5", 256 pounds. Give me all of it. The Eagles have two legit tight ends. Goedert had one bad drop on a short route, but caught all four of his other targets for 66 yards and a score.

3. Tre Sullivan

The 23-year-old undrafted corner got beat on a 71-yard touchdown by JuJu Smith-Schuster.

2. Mack Hollins

Just one target and no catches with Hollins, without Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor, and Mike Wallace. Hollins did not play a ton, so this isn't a big deal. But I need three duds.
