The Eagles have fully, 100% committed to quarterback Carson Wentz in a big way, handing him a four-year contract extension that could pay him up to $144 million.

The contract comes during the first offseason the team was allowed to sign him to a new deal. The Eagles have made it clear throughout the offseason that they wanted to sign Wentz, the player they drafted with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, and now they have done just that -- but that doesn't mean the debate is over.

In the latest episode of Go Birds, John Barchard, James Seltzer and Eliot Shorr-Parks talk about the new deal, debate if now was the right time and discuss if Wentz can stay healthy. Also, Barchard ends the pod with a monologue that is sure to get you fired up.
