Welcome to 94WIP's G.O.A.T. of Broad Street, where we will finally determine who the greatest athlete in Philadelphia sports history is! Remember, in order to qualify, the athlete must have played in Philadelphia in the last 50 years (1970).

We are counting down the top 20 Philadelphia athletes over the last 50 years beginning on Monday, June 15th and ending on Thursday, June 25th. The rankings were determined based on votes from our fans and hosts.

You can view the full running list at 94WIP.com/goat.

The results are in -- after weeks of voting, revealing and debating the top athletes in Philadelphia sports over the last 50 years, the Answer is final -- Allen Iverson is the G.O.A.T. of Broad Street

Iverson winning might come as a shock to some, but it shouldn't. A Hall-of-Fame player, very few -- if any -- athletes impacted both a fanbase and his entire sport the way Iverson did during his time with the Sixers. In a contest decided by fans, it isn't surprising that it was Iverson that claimed the crown, considering the magical ride he took the city on in 2001, and the many, many exciting moments he gave the fanbase.

As I wrote two weeks ago, there is just a difference between Iverson and the other great athletes this city has seen. There have been great defensive ends in the history of this city, and every city. There have been great third basemen in every city. There have been great quarterbacks, great basketball players, great hockey players, great football players and great baseball players.

There will only ever be one Allen Iverson, and only Philly truly got to enjoy and embrace him as their own.

So on a day when we celebrate Iverson taking his seat at the top of Philadelphia sports, here are some of the best moments he had in a Sixers' uniform:
