The Sixers have signed Al Horford to a four-year, $109 million contract, according to an ESPN report.

The deal for Horford comes after a report emegered last week that the Sixers were interested in Hoford. They have obviously backed that report up by handing Hoford a massive contract that will lock him into Philadelphia for four seasons.

Horford, 33, is was seeking his final big contract in the NBA. Last season, he was still very productive averaging 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists while shooting 53.5 FG% / 36.0 3FG% / 82.1 FT%.

Horford has also given Embiid fits in the past, so getting him on the same team not only adds him to the Sixers' roster, but takes him away from the Celtics.

The deal comes on the same day that the Sixers signed Tobias Harris to a five-year contract, traded Jimmy Butler to the Miami Heat for Josh Richardson and saw J.J. Redick leave to sign with the New Orleans Pelicans.
