While contemplating the MLB's approach to play with no bubble, 94WIP's Midday Show host Joe DeCamara proposed an idea for the upcoming NFL season.

"In football, you have a game every week. Now in football, you have a great chance for guys to get coronavirus because you have bigger rosters and it's a different nature of sports. In baseball, the Marlins are being shut down for a period of time, it's going to be at least a week, could be longer... In football, what would happen?"

"Could you see a scenario where the NFL says we are going to play every other week? 14 days instead of seven days for the next time you interact with an opposing team. You could play eight games, you could play 10 games, if you want to take it into March, you could. Then there is the question of can you stagger it where some teams play on one weekend and other teams play the other one, almost like within your conference. You could do it by conference, meaning the NFC plays on this Sunday and the AFC plays the next Sunday."

"I just wonder, let's say you had a 20 week regular season, 10 games for every team... You only play within your conference and you just completely redo the schedule. I'm just throwing it out there."

We will see if Roger Goodell and Co. will take Joe's advice.
