As the NBA gears up for an incredibly unique experience, resuming the 2019-20 season in a Disney World bubble amid the coronavirus pandemic, Brett Brown provided an update on his all-star point guard Ben Simmons.

“My opinion, and this is not confirmed yet, is that we are going to be able to inch him back into this,” Brown told Chris Mannix of “Is he going to be 100-percent, I don’t expect that. But I think he is going to be available.”

Simmons, 23, missed the Sixers' last eight games with a back injury before the season paused. However, the Sixers' haven't played a game since March 11th, and nearly three months later and Simmons still may not be 100-percent.

The NBA's plan is to play eight final regular season games before beginning the postseason on August 17th, giving Simmons nearly five full months before the team's first playoff game.

Sixers GM Elton Brand said on May 5th that the team is “very optimistic" Simmons will be able to play if and when the league resumes.

On social media, Simmons has recently been posting workout photos where he's looking extra jacked.
