August Bryce is here.

Just six days after his viral walkoff grandslam against the Cubs, Bryce Harper hit a go-ahead two-run opposite field homer in Boston to help the Phillies complete an important two-game sweep of the Red Sox.

In August, Harper is slashing .264/.376/.653 with an August career-high 1.029 OPS (on-base + slugging percentage). Over 19 August games, Harper has stepped to the plate 85 times and hit nine homers while knocking in 20 runs. He has struck out 20 times and walked 12 times. In addition, Harper—as evident by his season monthly low .233 BAbip (batting average of balls in play)—has actually had an unlucky month.

Here is a look at every August in Harper's career:

2019: .264/.376/.653 | 1.029 OPS | 9 HR | 20 RBI | 85 plate appearances so far

2018: .324/.400/.559 | .959 OPS | 5 HR | 20 RBI | 115 plate appearances

2017: .297/.317/.486 | .804 OPS | 2 HR | 7 RBI | 41 plate appearances (missed time with knee injury)

2016: .310/.398/.536 | .934 OPS | 3 HR | 19 RBI | 98 plate apperances

2015: .327/.460/.449 | .909 OPS | 2 HR | 9 RBI | 124 plate appearances

2014: .279/.339/.490 | .830 OPS | 7 HR | 15 RBI | 115 plate appearances

2013: .277/.385/.485 | .872 OPS | 4 HR | 14 RBI | 119 plate appearances

2012: .243/.292/.456 | .748 OPS | 6 HR | 16 RBI | 115 plate apperances

For the season, Harper is now slashing .254/.373/.497 with an OPS of .870, 27 HR, and 92 RBI. With 36 games to go, Harper's 2019 season is actually shaping up to be a very good one.

Harper's impressive August has helped keep the Phillies in the thick of the NL wildcard hunt. At 66-60, the Phillies are just 1.5 games behind the Cardinals for the NL's second wildcard spot and 3.0 games behind the Nationals, who are atop the NL wildcard standings.

The Phillies now head to Miami for a key three-game series at the Marlins before coming home for three against the Pirates and three against the Mets.
