Well this is...weird.

The Philadelphia Eagles have canceled their practice on Wednesday, four days ahead of their Week 3 home game against the Detroit Lions. The team has turned Wednesday's practice, usually the most important practice of the week, into a walk through.

It seems like the mass amount of injuries the team is currently dealing may have to do with this decision. Also, the Eagles have to play Sunday and then again on Thursday night in Week 4.

Here is a list of players who suffered an injury in Sunday night's loss to Atlanta:

  • Tim Jernigan (foot)
  • DeSean Jackson (groin)
  • Corey Clement (shoulder)
  • Dallas Goedert (calf)
  • Alshon Jeffery (calf)
  • Carson Wentz (checked for concussion)
  • Nelson Agholor (checked for concussion)
  • Sidney Jones (checked for concussion)

Jernigan is reportedly out four to six weeks and Jackson is expected to miss a couple of games

On Tuesday, Doug Pederson told the 94WIP Morning Show that Jackson, Goedert, and Jeffery are "day to day." Pederson addressed the media at 10:30am on Wednesday.

In Week 1, the Eagles lost defensive tackle Malik Jackson for the season with a Lisfranc injury.
