A boisterous bunch of loyal Eagles fans were in attendance at the Linc as the Eagles held the first of two open training camp practices at their home stadium.  The practice comes four days before the first preseason game of the summer against Pittsburgh.  Players such as Malcolm Jenkins are used to large turnouts for the open practice, but Jenkins noticed how this year's practice at the had even more electricity.

"It felt like a game environment," said Jenkins.  "You see a lot of excitement coming off of last year's season.  They're seeing what this new team will look like and some of the new faces.  The crowd was definitely excited, so some of these preseason games are going to be kind of loud."

The practice also feature the chance for the Eagles to break the routine of training camp at the NovaCare complex.  The team is going through the dog days of camp and the start of the regular season is now just one month away.  Running Back Jay Ajayi came to the Eagles in the middle of last season and got his first taste of an open practice in the midst of training camp.

"It's cool to get out of our daily routine and environment," Ajayi said.  "This is a special field.  To be able to play in front of these fans with the atmosphere that they bring is cool.  There are guys on the team that haven't seen an environment like this or been in it yet."

One Eagle on the field Sunday night was Corey Graham, who resigned with the team on Sunday afternoon after contemplating retirement.  Graham proved to be a valuable reserve in the secondary last season and would not have signed with any team other than the Eagles.  Graham picked the perfect day to return to the Eagles as he soaked in the festive atmosphere at the Linc.

"It was a good day," said Graham.  "The fans were amazing.  It was a great atmosphere.  I couldn't believe how loud it was.  It seemed like the fans were even louder than last year. "

It will be back to the grind for the Eagles over the next few days.  The team will have training camp workouts at the NovaCare Complex on Monday and Tuesday before holding a walk through on Wednesday.  The last official day of training camp will be August 14th.   For one night, players such as Cornerback Jalen Mills were reminded just how rabid the Eagles fan base remains after a season to remember in 2017.

"This was crazy," Mills said.  "The energy is still here.  In pregame, they were screaming and doing Eagles chants back and forth.  It was just crazy."
