The Eagles-related Amari Cooper rumors continue to pop up.

If the Dallas Cowboys cannot retain their top wide receiver, they can reportedly expect the Philadelphia Eagles to "lead the pack" on free-agency suitors, according to CBS Sports Dallas reporter Patrick Walker

Walker states that the Eagles are eager to get rid of Alshon Jeffery, will likely allow Nelson Agholor to leave via free-agency, and would be left with an aging DeSean Jackson. Cooper would be the perfect addition for Philadelphia.

Earlier this month, former NFL quarterback David Carr listed the Eagles as Cooper's second top potential landing spot in a piece for NFL.com. If the Eagles do keep Jeffery, Carr stated that Cooper would be a nice compliment to him.

"Cooper's production doesn't always match his crazy ability, but I believe he'd do well paired with a player like Alshon Jeffery," Carr wrote.

Cooper caught 79 balls for 1,189 yards and eight touchdowns last season. Both his yardage and touchdown season totals were career-highs.

Cooper makes sense for the Eagles for obvious reasons. The team has a need at receiver, and at 25-years old, Cooper is one of the best receivers in the league. Landing Cooper would not only give the Eagles the No. 1 receiver they have been looking to pair with Carson Wentz, but it would also take one away from the Cowboys.
