The Philadelphia Flyers have locked up Travis Konecny, re-signing the 22-year-old center to a six-year extension worth an average of $5.5 million per season, the team announced on Monday

In three seasons with the Flyers, Konecny has 59 goals and 65 assists in 233 games. He's missed just 13 games since making his NHL debut.

"We are happy to have Travis under contract for the next six seasons," said Flyers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Chuck Fletcher per the team's website. "Travis has shown progression in each of his three seasons and is an integral part of our group of young forwards. His speed, skill and tenacity sets him apart in today's NHL."

The 5'10", 175-pound forward was the Flyers' 24th overall pick in 2015.
