JJ Redick returns to Philadelphia for the first time since signing with the Pelicans on Friday night. The 35-year-old shooting guard spent the previous two seasons with Philadelphia, helping them make the leap to Eastern Conference contender.

94WIP program director and Rights To Ricky Sanchez podcast host Spike Eskin, however, says the proper reaction for is no reactionn at all.

"The paid him 24 million dollars to come here," Eskin said to Joe DeCamara who called Redick the "first guy that chose to come here on his own that was a legit NBA player."

"He's a fake Sixer, he was never a real Sixer. He lived in Brooklyn. He signed two one-year deals. He left for a bad team in the middle of the country just because they paid him more. Fake Sixer. Proper reaction? No reaction at all. Fake Sixer. Never hit a big shot, never guarded anybody. Fake Sixer."

I mean, I like Redick, but Spike isn't wrong. Redick is averaging 15.7 points on 7.3 three's per game, shooting 44.8-percent with the lowly 6-19 Pelicans. Redick shot 41.4-percent from three last season, the second best mark of his career and in 2017-18 Redick averaged a career-high 18.2 points per game with Philly.

Before Friday's game, Redick was asked about Joel Embiid's maturity.
