Howie Roseman's approval rating in Philadelphia is at an all-time high. And on the morning of the 2019 NFL Draft, 94WIP's Joe DeCamara—a Philadelphia native and lifelong Philly sports fan—made a profound statement about the Eagles' top front-office executive.

“I was thinking about it this morning and I feel certain about this statement," Joe DeCamara began the 94WIP Midday Show on Thursday at 10am. "I have never felt more confident in a general manager—now Howie is not the GM, he is the executive vice president of football ops. So if you want to say a general manager or an executive within a team. In my entire lifetime in Philadelphia sports, which by the way is 40 years, in my 40 years as a Philadelphia sports fan I have never felt more confident in a general manager (or an executive who serves as a general manager) as I do in Howie Roseman at this stage of his tenure with the Eagles. He has been masterful.

"Since reclaiming the power from Chip (Kelly), they’ve won a Super Bowl, they got to the second round of the playoffs, they’ve came damn close to getting back to a conference title game," DeCamara continued. "He did the whole drafting Carson (Wentz) thing. He even signed Nick (Foles) by the way, which was great, flew under the radar. He’s has made a ton of good moves. He wasn’t perfect last year; he didn’t have a thousand batting average last year…but my God this guy, Jon. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt this way about— I have total confidence in Howie. I don’t know who they’re going to pick, I don’t know what position they’re going to pick, but I know this, as a Philadelphia sports fan I have total confidence in Howie Roseman on the day of the draft."

DeCamara's co-host and former Eagles fullback Jon Ritchie also loves Roseman, but doesn't have as much faith in Roseman the drafter.

“Uh really?" Ritchie responded. "2017. 2017 is all I should have to say. How soon you forget Joe. The 2017 draft was a failure. I love what Howie has done as our quasi GM, I do. But what I love most is free-agency. What I love most is contract creativity in negotiating. What I love most is the new compensatory pick thing where he’s really digging into that area. What I love most is that he knows he can get better, that he stepped away—forcibly so— and improved himself. He was not above that. But, this time of the year, this is my greatest fear, that Howie is not the draft expert that he is in these other areas.”
