Not many NBA all-stars have the humility to admit when an NBA analyst is correct in their criticism over said player. Joel Embiid, however, was able to do that on Thursday afternoon.

"That's what they do," Embiid told Keith Pompey during Thursday's shoot around when asked about the criticism made by Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal.

Barkley and Shaq criticized Embiid for not being more dominant and inserting his will after the Sixers' win over the Nuggets on Tuesday night.

"Maybe they're right. I think they're right, I think I need to be more aggressive and just look to force and impose myself. Just look to dominate. I think the whole season I haven't done that and then you can see the way it's affect my efficency and my stats. So I guess I need to go back to having and just dominating. But I get what they're saying and I think they're right, and I gotta make a change."

Embiid also talked about other factors affecting his style of play this season.

"I said earlier I want to get to the playoffs healthy," Embiid explained. "The last two years I haven't been healthy. This year I kind of told myself I want to get there healthy. And we got a new group and I'm still trying to get used to it. It's different, it's completely different, the way I'm being guarded this year. Every time I touch the ball, every double, triple team. Just trying to get through it and just be a basketball player."
