Hicks, 26, was a third round pick of the Eagles in 2015.

Hicks has dealt with the injury bug throughout his career, but when healthy he was excellent. In four seasons with the Eagles, Hicks played 43 out of 64 regular season games, recording seven interceptions, five sacks, and 254 combined tackles. Hicks made his playoff debut this season, recording 12 combined tackles in two games.

The Eagles, already inking Malik Jackson and DeSean Jackson this free-agency, and re-signing Jason Peters, have approximately $15 million in cap space and were unable to give Hicks the kind of money he received.
