57-year-old electrician Tom Cudeyro was the first Philly fan to greet Manny Machado this afternoon, as the free-agent outfielder arrived at Citizens Bank Park.

"World series champs, I mean Super Bowl champs," Cudeyro said. "World Series here. Do the right thing and sign! Get that money!"

Cudeyro is a union electrician who was on his lunch break, according to Matt Gelb

The internet began to come up with the theory that Cudeyro was a "plant," but he refuted that claim on Friday's 94WIP Morning Show.

"I am just a blue-collar electrician who wants Manny Machado here, no more, no less," Cudeyro said on Friday.

Machado is MLB's second best free-agent this winter. He visited with the Yankees on Wednesday, who are reportedly "enamored" with him

The Phillies, who have already added Andrew McCutchen in free-agency and Jean Segura via a trade this offseason, are after Machado, Bryce Harper, and other big names.
