Vick was in attendance for the NFL opener in Philly last Thursday night.

"I think definitely, that was a great game," Vick said about the Eagles' 18-12 win over the Falcons. "It was identical to what it looked like in the playoff, and that was the exciting part. It was just two great teams going at it. I'm excited for both sides.

"Philadelphia definitely looks like a contender again. The way Doug Pederson has continued to evolve as a head coach, the guy who calls the plays for either of those two quarterbacks shows that he can find success. With that defense, it's on the up and up for the Eagles. They are really in a good position."

As far as the other NFC elite teams, Vick likes the Vikings and Rams.

"Most definitely, Minnesota Vikings," Vick said. "I didn't understand the move with Kirk Cousins because I thought they had two quarterbacks in Bridgewater and Case Keenum, but obviously it's working out. We'll see. 15 more games. Most definitely, the Rams. They looked really good the other night against the Raiders, especially with the defense they've been able to put together. And maybe Carolina or New Orleans sneaking it. Obviously there's a long way to go."

Other than media, Vick has dabbled in coaching.

"I get a chance to give back to the game vicariously through younger players and the next generation," Vick said about coaching. "Everything I've learned, everything I've been able to digest as a player I get to give it to them and then watch them go out and execute it. When you know what it is supposed to look like, you can demand the most out of the players."
