With the July 31st MLB trade deadline approaching, the Phillies are in the market for a starting pitcher and Texas Rangers lefty Mike Minor is reportedly available.

According to MLB Network's Jon Morosi, Minor is "likely to be traded in the next two weeks." Morosi added that the Phillies and Brewers are among the interested teams, but "there’s no indication that a deal is close."

Minor, 31, is having his best MLB season reaching his first all-star game. Minor is 8-4 with a 2.73 ERA and 121 strikeouts over 122 innings.

The Phillies were also recently linked to Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman

Last week, however, it didn't sound like the Phillies seemed ready to go all-in at the deadline.

“We’re in the postseason if the season ended today, but we’re in a one-game playoff," Phillies president Andy MacPhail said on Friday. "For me you have to be more judicious with your playing talent if you think you have a longer haul to get through the postseason. I don’t believe we’re one player away from the World Series.”
