MLB Trade Deadline Day: Running Phillies Rumors

The Major League Baseball trade deadline is today, Wednesday, July 31st at 4pm and many fans are hoping the Phillies will make necessary upgrades to secure a postseason berth. The Phillies are currently 56-50, six games back of the Atlanta Braves in the NL East and tied with Cubs for the NL's second wild card spot. 

The pressure is on general manager Matt Klentak, who began the week by acquiring left-handed starter Jason Vargas from the Mets on Monday.

Hudson, 32, is 6-3 with a 3.00 ERA in 48.0 innings pitched this season. 

Marines willing to eat a large portion of Mike Leake's remaining salary: 

Leake, 31, is 9-8 with a 4.40 ERA this season in 22 starts for Seattle. 

Phillies interested in Cincinnati starting pitchers Alex Wood and Tanner Roark 

Phillies 'showing continued interest' in White Sox closer Álex Colomé

Colomé, 30, is 3-1 with a 2.27 ERA and 21 saves in 22 opportunities. He's allowed 19 hits, 10 ER, 4 HR, 12 BB, and struck out 31 in 39.2 innings.

Frazier, 33, is hitting .244/.328/.436 with 13 home runs in 266 at-bats.
