The Sixers have officially picked up the options on T.J. McConnell and Richaun Holmes.

The McConnell decision is no surprise, as he-who-shall-not-be-named (Bryan Colangelo) already announced that immediately after the season ended.

The Holmes decision is a bit of a surprise, considering he will make $1.6 million in 2018-19 and likely is not a future piece for the franchise. However, the Sixers could look to move Holmes, still a young (just 24) athletic center, either before or during the season.

Also, both contract do not become guaranteed until January 10th, so both player can still be waived to create cap space if need be. Both players will become unrestricted free-agents after the 2018-19 season.
