So, during Friday's Sixers press conference where the team introduced Josh Richardson, Al Horford, Kyle O'Quinn, Raul Neto—and honored the extensions of Harris and James Ennis—Harris was, of course, asked about Simmons' jump shot and how it looks.

Harris says that in a game of one-on-one against Simmons, Simmons hit back-to-back threes.

“We played a lot of one-on-one," Harris said of Simmons. "He’s in the gym religiously every day, grinding and getting better. He’s in great shape. Everybody was trying to figure out why I was guarding him at the three-point line—it was really because he hit two of them. I dared him to shoot two of them, and he hit two in a row. That’s why I was there.

"But he’s made big improvements on his game, his jump shot is looking really good and he has confidence to shoot it. I’ve just been telling him, he had been in these workouts where he’s playing and had the confidence to shoot them and don’t get discouraged if you miss. This is where you build that type of confidence. It was a good sight to see, how hard he’s been working, and he looks really good for a great year.”

Simmons enters his third NBA season with already a rookie of the year and an all-star appearance. He turns just 23 on July 20th and is already one of the game's best athletes and most versatile defenders. However, his jump shot—or lack thereof—is what everyone is focused on.

Simmons, for his career, is averaging 16.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game shooting 55.4 FG% / 0.00 3FG% / 58.3 FT%.
