Hypothetically speaking, what is Carson Wentz worth in a trade?

"Probably two first round picks, maybe more," that was NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on 94WIP around 9am on Wednesday

Well, hours earlier, Jason McIntyre of The Big Lead posted three "realistic" Von Miller trades and one included Wentz.

Denver sends Von Miller and 2019 and 2020 1st round picks to Philadelphia for Carson Wentz

"They get a Super Bowl MVP (in Miller) who still has prime years left, the No. 10 pick in this year’s draft, and of course a 2020 1st (guessing it’ll be between 15-25)," McIntyre wrote.

The Eagles do have some defensive line questions going forward, as both Brandon Graham and Chris Long will become free-agents in 2019 and Derek Barnett, who has just 21 games under his belt, is returning from shoulder surgery. Michael Bennett, who has been a beast for the Eagles this season, is 33 and has a $7.2M cap hit in 2019 and an $8M cap hit in 2020 without any dead cap penalties.

Miller is just 29 years old and has started all 16 games in each of the last five seasons, recording respective sack totals of: 14.0, 11.0, 13.5, 10.0, and 14.5. However, he has a cap hit of $25.125M in 2019, before a club option (a potential out) in 2020.

A decision like this would obviously come down to how the Eagles feel about giving up their franchise QB and turning over the team to Nick Foles, who turns 30 on January 20th. That would be a bold decision and seems very unlikely, at this point.

"I think people sort of forget how good Carson Wentz is," Rapoport told Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show on Wednesday. "Before injury, he was one of the MVPs of the league.

"So yeah, whenever it's over they go back to Carson Wentz and basically see how they can maximize the value they have with Nick Foles."
